The 9 Bow's of Respect

Muay Thai Sangha follows the philosophy of the five main Ancient Religions. Here is a description of the 9 Ancient Bow's of which Muay Thai Sangha follows.

1. Krub Phra Tam Cam Sang Soan

Bow your head to worship the Teachings of the five religions of the world: the right code to improve each of our lives, because those teachings are the ones that will lead us to the state of enlightenment.

2. Krub Phra Vinae Cam Pratipat

Bow your head to worship the Discipline or Practice of Humanity, because Discipline or Practice will help us to improve our skills in each of our lives.

3. Krub Phra Maha Borisutikun

Bow your head to worship the Purity of the mind, heart and spirit, because Purity will help us to cleanse our thoughts, feelings, intentions, speech and actions while learning and practicing the Teachings.

4. Krub Phra Maha Kharunatikun

Bow your head to worship Compassion of the ones that want to improve their spirit regardless of age, race, status, rank or religion, because Compassion will help us to understand how to make colletive merit.

5. Krub Phra Maha Panyatikun

Bow your head to worship Wisdom, because Wisdom will help us to see the truth more clearly and choose a better path in every moment of our lives.

6. Krub Khun Po Took Pop Took Chat Aditachad Yang Tueng Prachubanachad

Bow your head to worship each of our Fathers from each of our lives, because our Fathers will help us to remember our past lives as well as where we come from.

7. Krub Khun Mae Took Pop Took Chat Aditachad Yang Tueng Prachubanachad

Bow your head to worship each of our Mothers from each of our lives, because our Mothers will help us to remember our past lives as well as where we come from.

8. Krub Khun Kulu Uppana Chariyo Yang Khun Kulu Uppana Chariyang Khun Booromokruu Ajarn Jao Took Tan Took Phra Ong Ti Ma Pen Kao Pen Paa Tan Took Tan

Bow your head to worship each of our Teachers from each of our lives, because our Teachers will help us to remember what we learned and how we practiced.

9. Krub Khun Pu Mi Upakala Khun Took Tan Ti Pratipat Phra Tam Phra Vinae

Bow your head to worship Relatives and Friends that came to help us, because Relatives and Friends that came to help us will make our path easier, so we can become better people.

 

Morals and Rules of Muay Sangha Teachers

A solid base was needed to guide our instructors during the learning process. Here is the description of the Braman Buddhism teachings that we follow.

Characteristics of a good skillful Muay Thai Sangha apprentice teacher.

A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Apprentice Teacher refers to a person that has sufficient practice and wisdom in the field.

A good skillful Muay Sangha Apprentice Teacher trains the students to achieve a high level of Self-Control promoting Self-Defense only.

A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Apprentice Teacher has to be an honest,  tenderhearted person and should make appropriate decisions and actions which are grounded on reasoning.

A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Apprentice Teacher has to practice physically and mentally regarding Mettha, Kharuna, Muttita and Myethree, so he or she will be able to be calm in any situation. In addition, these morals can lead the person to righteous commitments for which afterward he or she will be praised by mankind forever.

Rules and responsibilities of a good skillful Muay Thai Sangha teacher.
  1. Before and after training, a good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should respectfully think about and pray to the spirit teachers: Phrom (Bhraman Angel), Thephrom (Deity Angel), Phra Phutta Jao (Buddha) and BorommoKruu  (Teacher of teachers).

     
  2. A  good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should practice for a long period of time the different basic ranges of fighting from different positions such as Stand up fighting and Ground fighting. As  well he should learn different weapons according to his range.

     
  3. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should carefully listen to the reasons why the student wants to train Muay Thai Sangha and listen to the recommendations of skillful experts in different fields.

     
  4. A  good skillful Muay Thai Sangha teacher should always be aware of the evolution of the style and should integrate other disciplines in order to foster development of Muay Thai Sangha skills.

     
  5. A  good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should not recommend the ability of other teachers who lack sufficient training and regular practice.

     
  6. A  good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should not use any Muay Thai Sangha skills in public except  in case of an emergency such as a Self-Defense situation.

     
  7. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should not be greedy to obtain Fortune, Rank, or Praise and should not act with Falsity.

     
  8. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should not overstate his own capacity or knowledge, and should act with calmness in any situation.

     
  9. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should not obstruct other practitioners or Teachers that practice with good skills and good ethics.

     
  10. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Teacher should not train practitioners without holding sufficient knowledge or skills.

     

     

Morals of a good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master.
  1. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should act according to the four Virtuous Inclinations:            
    Mettha: Be sympathetic to everyone regardless of his age, race, status, rank or religion.
    Kharuna: Be humble and have compassion for every person, animal or thing that wants to improve their spirit.
    Muttita: Be ashamed of sin, which refers to any action against a moral good.
    Myethree: Be wise and calm, reasoning any decision or action.

     
  2. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should not be greedy for other’s belongings or for profit

     
  3. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should not overstate his own capacity or knowledge.

     
  4. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should not be ignorant, careless or selfish.

     
  5. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should not be controlled by the 4 Armnat Khathi:
    1. Not to have a partial interest in anyone based on Love, 2. Or based on Greed, 3. Not to be possessed by Anger, 4. Not to have a Passion to do wrong things.

     
  6. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should not be weakened by the 4 Lokkatham:
    1. Fortune, 2. Rank, 3. Praise, 4. Acting with Falsity.

     
  7. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should not indulge in Abayamook: gambling, drugs, alcohol or any evil or destructive path.

     
  8. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should be honest and have respect for students.

     
  9. A good skillful Muay Thai Sangha Master should not be disrespectful to the teachers that give you knowledge, including ”Taad Kaan Haa” (The Five Elements) 1. Earth (soil), 2. Water, 3. Wind, 4. Fire, 5. Ether. Also he should respectfully practice “Khan Kruu Buuchaa” (Worship of the Teacher with an ancient tray) including 1. Lotus flowers 2. Incense 3. Candle 4. Footed Tray.

The information that you gain reading Muay Sangha philosophy comes from dedicated monks living in remote areas, caves and deep jungles. With a deep and a straight practice the code that you are going to read was developed.

To know and to understand the way to do good with good purposes and to do good with bad purposes

Ruu Chua
To know and to understand the way to do evil with good purposes and to do evil with bad purposes

Ruu Boon
To know and to understand the way to do good actions with good results and to do good actions with bad results

Ruu Barb
To know and to understand the way to do bad actions with good results and to do bad actions with bad results

Ruu Khun
To know and to understand "who is who", keeping in mind: first - teacher of spirit teachers,
second - spirit teachers, third - people

Ruu Tod
To know and to understand the result of good punishments and the result of bad punishments

Ruu Head
To know and to understand the cause of our actions

Ruu Pon
To know and to understand the effect or the result of our actions

Ruu Satcha
To know and to understand what we had promised to do before we were born

Ruu Satchin
To know and to understand the pure and straight way of Phra Tam and Phra Vinae

Ruu Phra Tam
To know and to understand the truely teachings of the ancient Brahman Buddhist Religion

Ruu Phra Vinae
